The precise positioning of a heart catheter demands a cable slim enough to fit inside the catheter tube yet having highly controlled electricals for precise imaging. Cable durability and strength were achieved using Dupont's Kevlar® fibers extruded parallel to the conductors delivering 6X the tensile strength, 3X the flexibility and 19% of the weight of steel.

Required to be resistant to radiation for use in oncology applications, this ribbon cable features connectors that resist discoloration due to long-term exposure. Color-coded connectors for easy termination and exceptional strain relief improves system dependability.

Due to its placement in an environment constantly undergoing medical sterilization processes, this very limp, high-flex cable was designed to withstand both autoclave and chemical sterilization procedures. Features include chemical resistant cable connectors, strain relief and a high-stress collet specifically located for application restraint.
